Homeopathy Diagnosis

The basic postulate of treatment is the Latin saying similia similibus curantur that is like things are cured by like things. Hahnemann came to this conclusion as he saw that any medicine that produced the symptoms of a disease in a healthy person would cure him of the same disease. The medicines are also mixed in sugar extracted from milk. Generally, the medicine is thinned in the spirit in the proportion of 1:10 or 1:100. The name of the medicine is given with its potency.

According to Hahnemann, the cause of every disease is the weakening of vital force of the body. This force controls the body and mind. In homeopathy, the disease changes its place with the treatment. For example, the diseases of the lungs may shift to throat or eyes. Then, it may appear in the form of boils on the skin in legs and hands before it is completely rooted out. A diseases shifts from affected parts to the upper or lower regions of the body and then finally disappears. In certain cases, the initials symptoms appear and the old symptoms disappear. Eventually, the symptoms that were existent before illness appear and patient regains normal health.

In homeopathy, an attempt is made to help and increase the resistance power of the body. Full attention is given in every treatment to remove the imbalances in the body. The family history of the patient of skin, tongue and pulse are important factors in this method. The most emphasis is placed on the symptoms of the disease.

In most of the other therapies, the emphasis is laid on examination of the patient. In homeopathy, it is ascertained as to which medicine has the capacity to produce the symptoms of the disease from which the patient suffers. Hahnemann believed that the reason why a particular person suffered from some diseases and not others was that his body had the power to fight some diseases and not others. To sum up, it can be said that homeopaths treat a patient on the basis of symptoms, causes, an effect of the symptoms and possible toxic elements present in the body.
