Modern Form of Acupuncture

Many modern improved versions of acupuncture are now being used. The most important amongst them is Brain Acupuncture. Many nervous disorders are being treated by inserting needles at different points in the brain and skull. Many cases of polio and paralysis have been successfully treated by acupuncture. Research is being further conducted in this direction.

Modern Form of Acupuncture

In Electro-acupuncture, electric current ranging from five to twenty volts is introduced at acupuncture points. The current then flows inside the system. Japan has made strides in this direction and is using it extensively. They have given this new method the name of Ryodoraku.

Another new development is Laser-acupuncture. In this method laser rays are used instead of electric current. But, these rays have to be used very carefully. This method is being used in treatment of diseases relating to skin.
